Intermittent "Share Calendar" and "Share Contacts" greyed out
Hi All,
We've got a problem with several users on Exchange 2007 \ Outlook 2010 in a Terminal Server environment. Last year we had to do a dialtone recovery of mailbox DB and manually fixed a lot of permissions. This may or may not be related but currently we have
a handful of users who complain that at times the option to share their calendar or contacts is greyed out. This is intermittent sometimes they can sometimes they cant. The main user who has this problem has had permissions reset on his mailbox via PFDAVAdmin.
He has full control over his mailbox and most of the time he can share it fine.I've tried recreating his profile on the TS Server, Resetting permissions on his mailbox, disabling add-ins, running outlook in safe mode but still the users have issues.
Does anyone have any further suggestions to try?
Thanks
Mark

Hi, 1. Can you pls let us know what Exchange Version you are using and what SP level and RU ?
2. Is the issue with one user or for all.? Can you check the user who is hvaing the issue is on which database , and cross check with other users on other database if they are fine or having the same issue ?
3. Can you try to use PST and OST both for that particular users mailbox ? Can you try to move the faulty user mailbox to other DB and then check.
PLs find the below URL see if that helps ..

Hi thanks for reply.
1. Exchange 2007 SP2 (no RU)
2. Several users, majority on one DB however there is one user on another DB with issues however affected single user on different DB may have been moved to this DB when we had mailbox crash (wasnt involved in recovery so cant confirm or deny).
3. Reluctant to move to pst or ost as mailboxes are quite large. Will look at moving to another DB.
Have tried recreating mail profile no joy. Also we have 4 terminal servers and doesn't seem to be one server. Also mailbox is showing as being online when the user has this problem so not sure cached mode will help.
Thanks

Hi Markv,
Does the issue occur intermittent, and just happen to some spcific mailboxes?
I would sugegst that you could update the exchange server and outlook to the latest version firstly.
How about move the mailbox to ther database and make some tests?

Hi,
Sorry for delay, I recreated the users mailbox at the weekend and reimported all of their mail and still they are getting the error. This doesn't seem to be DB specific as its affecting more than one DB although this does not affect all users.
So far nothing on the web has been of relevance.
Thanks
